PSO2 NGS: Slayer Operation

The Slayer Operation event allowed PSO2: NGS players to acquire Slayer Prep Tickets, which could be exchanged for the Gunblade weapon series.

You can become part of the Artificial Relict to Keep Species (ARKS) organization in this thrilling video game, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis (PSO2: NGS).

The game’s developer, Sega, recently announced that a new class, Slayer, was added to the game. Thus, gamers were able to enjoy the Slayer Operation event in celebration of the new class’s arrival.

Classes in PSO2: NGS

When you start playing PSO2: NGS, you can select a class for your character. There are currently 10 classes to choose from in the game. You can become a Hunter, Fighter, Ranger, Gunner, Force, Techter, Braver, Bouncer, Waker or Slayer.

Every class wields a unique weapon and features a unique skill tree. You can unlock additional skills for your class through the skill tree.

If you are unhappy about your class at any point in the game, you can switch to another class. This can only be done by visiting the Class Counter and talking to Croche.

PSO2 NGS: Slayer Operation

Sega announced early in 2023 that a new class called the Slayer will be added to the game.

To celebrate the arrival of the new class, players were able to enjoy the Slayer Operation event, which commenced on Wednesday, 1 March 2023 and concluded on Tuesday, 4 April 2023.

During this time, players were able to complete special limited-time tasks to procure Slayer Operation Prep Tickets. The limited-time tasks that rewarded players with prep tickets were released every Wednesday while the event was active.

Once you have Slayer Prep Tickets, you can head to one of the exchange non-player characters to obtain several items. The exchange points were in:

Although there are different NPCs, the items that you were able to exchange your Prep Tickets for remain the same. This means that you were able to access all the items from the Slayer Operation Exchange at every trader.

The traders had several items available, each of which required a specific number of Prep Tickets. For this reason, some players saved their tickets to acquire rare items, while others used them to obtain common items.

Since the Slayer Operation event has concluded, you can no longer exchange the tickets for items. However, most of the items that were available in the exchange shop could have been acquired by completing certain activities and quests in PSO2: NGS.

Slayer Operation Prep Ticket

Players were able to collect up to 20 Slayer Operation Prep Tickets through this campaign. They could then use their tickets to collect the following items:

During the event, gamers were also able to exchange their Clio Talon Schneider or Relic Axeon CV to get 2 Slayer Operation Prep Tickets. In exchange for either 5 or 3 Slayer Prep Exchange Tickets, you were able to acquire one of the new Gunblade weapons.

Gunblade

The Gunblade weapon series in PSO2: NGS will be released in April 2023. Although any class can use this weapon, it is specifically designed for the new Slayer class.

The Preset Augments are determined by the type of Gunblade that you purchased. The table below lists the number of tickets required for varying weapons and the Augments:

 Gunblade-exclusive weapon camos

The Clio Talon Schneider and Relic Axeon CV are Gunblade-exclusive weapon camos that you were able to procure during the Slayer Operation event. Since they are Gunblade-exclusive, they cannot be applied to other weapons.

Weapon camos only change the appearance of your weapon and do not unlock additional skills or effects. It is unknown whether the camos are available for collection or not as the event has concluded.
