STFC: Gel Worms

To progress in STFC’s Interspecies Illnesses event, you have to capture Gel Worms, which are one of Dr. Phlox’s creatures

Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC) players can now enjoy the Interspecies Illnesses events, which require that you obtain Medical Test Results.

One of the methods that you can use to procure the Results is by capturing Dr. Phlox’s missing creatures.

Dr. Phlox recently discovered that 6 of his creatures had escaped their cages, so it is now up to you to capture them.

One of the creatures that you have to capture is Immunocytic Gel Worms, which are also referred to as Gel Worms.

To capture the Gel Worms, you have to mine in the level 14 system, Dekendi. In order to reach this system, you need a warp range of 10.

This event can be enjoyed by players level 10 and higher, which means that low-level players may not have the minimum warp range, but fortunately, there are various ways that you can increase your warp range.

In the system, you will discover 2 planets, one of which contains the Gel Worms. If you mine resources on this planet, you will be able to capture a Gel Worm and return it to Dr. Phlox to earn Medical Test Results.

How to return the Gel Worms to Dr. Phlox

Once you have the Gel Worms, you can open your Event Store and click on the “Interspecies Illnesses” tab. Commanders will find different categories in this tab, one of which reads, “Immunocytic Gel Worm Exchange.”

After clicking on the category, you can exchange your Gel Worms for 24 000 Medical Test Results.

Allegedly, you can only return 1 Gel Worm to Dr. Phlox to get the Medical Test Results, but fortunately, you can capture other creatures to earn additional rewards.

How to find Dekendi

Dekendi is one of the new systems in STFC and therefore, not a lot of players know where to find it. To make locating the system easier, we recommend that you use the in-game search bar.

Commanders simply have to type the system’s name in the search bar to be taken to the system. You can then send a crew to Dekendi to mine for Gel Worms.

Additional creatures

As previously mentioned, 6 of Dr. Phlox’s creatures escaped, one of which is the Gel Worms. You therefore have to capture the creatures listed below to earn Medical Test Results:
