STFC: Osmotic Eel

To progress in STFC’s Interspecies Illnesses event, you have to capture an Osmotic Eel and return it to Dr. Phlox.

Star Trek Fleet Command players can now enjoy the Interspecies Illnesses event.

According to the in-game announcement, Dr. Phlox uses a wide range of esoteric creatures in his research as well as in his treatment plans. However, he discovered that 6 of his creatures have escaped their cages.

You have to obtain an Osmotic Eel to help Dr. Phlox find a cure for a plague that no species can resist. According to Star Trek lore, an Osmotic Eel is a small aquatic lifeform which resembles a starfish.

This creature is used in medicine for cleaning and healing wounds. Dr. Phlox kept an Osmotic Eel on board during his assignment to Enterprise NX-01 in the starship’s sickbay in a tank of water.

The Interspecies Illnesses event requires that players analyze Biological Samples to receive Medical Test Results. However, if you can track down his Osmotic Eel, it can be used to generate a one-time reward of Medical Test Results.

In order to obtain the Osmotic Eel, players must complete the What’s Mine is Mine mission, which requires that gamers vanquish 12 hostiles level 11 or higher from the galaxy.

Event Refinery

Once you have the Osmotic Eel, you have to open the limited-time refinery to exchange the creature for Medical Test Results. Although the event mentions that it is a refinery, it is unlike any other refinery in the game.

Players have to open the Event Store and select the “Interspecies Illnesses” tab, in which they will find the Osmotic Eel Exchange.
