Dr. Phlox recently discovered that 6 of his creatures have escaped their cages in STFC and it is up to you to find them.
Star Trek Fleet Command players level 10 and higher can now enjoy the Interspecies Illnesses event, in which you have to help Dr. Phlox find a cure for a galaxy-wide plague.
Dr. Phlox mentioned that he uses an assortment of creatures in his research and treatment plans.
He was planning to do the same to find a cure for the plague, however, he found that 6 of his creatures escaped their cages.
It is now up to you to search the galaxy to find the missing creatures. Upon returning the creatures to Dr. Phlox, you will receive a one-time reward of Medical Test Results.
Players can use the Medical Test Results to progress in the Interspecies Illnesses events. The creatures that you have to locate include:
- Loose Tribble
- Regulan Bloodworms
- Osmotic Eel
- Lyssarian Desert Larvae
- Immunocytic Gel Worm
- Pyrithian Bat
On the official STFC Discord server, several players have mentioned that they cannot find the creatures, because the galaxy is essentially an open world.
That being said, you may have to mine resources in a specific system or complete certain missions to obtain the creatures.
How to acquire the missing creatures
Commanders can consider the following table to help them locate the missing creatures:

| Immunocytic Gel Worm | You can find this creature by mining in Dekendi |
| Pyrithian Bat | Players must mine in Valakis |
| Osmotic Eel | To obtain this creature, complete the “What’s Mine is Mine” mission |
| Regulan Bloodworm | You have to complete the “Runaway Cargo” mission |
| Loose Tribble | Commanders must complete the “Otherworldly Delights’ mission |
Mission objectives
As seen in the table, you have to complete certain missions to obtain some of Dr. Phlox’s missing creatures. Every mission has unique objectives that you have to complete to obtain the creature:

| Runaway Cargo | Commanders must vanquish 18 hostiles of level 11 or higher. |
| Otherworldly Delights | Find the creature and catch it to complete the quest. |
| What’s Mine is Mine | STFC players must defeat 12 hostiles of level 11 or higher. |
Returning the creatures
Once you have obtained the missing creatures, you have to open the Event Store and click on the “Interspecies Illnesses” tab. In this menu, you will find a unique refinery that allows you to return the missing creatures to Dr. Phlox.
For every creature that you return, you will receive 24 000 Medical Test Results, but you can only return each creature once. If you return the creatures, you will also complete the “Critters Galore” mission.
