You have to analyze Biological Samples in STFC to earn Medical Test Results, which will help Dr. Phlox cure a galaxy-wide plague.
Scopely, Star Trek Fleet Command’s developer, recently announced that Commanders level 10 and higher can participate in the Interspecies Illnesses events.
A mysterious plague has swept across the galaxy and no species has demonstrated any resistance to it.
You have to work alongside Dr. Phlox to find a cure for the plague before it’s too late. Dr. Phlox will deliver Biological Samples to players which they have to analyze.
Your station is now equipped with small and large analysis devices, and you are free to choose which device you want to use.
Keep in mind that you can only analyze one sample at a time. The smaller device analyzes the samples quicker, however, the large device has the potential for a larger breakthrough.
In some rare instances, the large device will produce some new Biological Samples along with the Medical Test Results.
Players will then be able to analyze these samples to obtain additional Medical Test Results. If you have Dr. Phlox in your officer collection, he will supervise the analysis himself.
This significantly boosts the chances that you will get even more Medical Test Results.
Interspecies Illnesses events
Although there are different types of Interspecies Illnesses events, they all require that players obtain as many Medical Test Results as possible.
Keep in mind that all of the events are only active for a limited time, as shown below:

Rewards
If you analyze the Biological Samples, you will earn Medical Test Results. For every Medical Test Result that you earn, you will be awarded with 100 points.
The number of points you earn while the event is active determines the rewards that you will receive.
STFC players will receive Enterprise Coins for helping Dr. Phlox find a cure for the plague. However, the quantity of Enterprise Coins you earn depends on the number of points you accumulated.
We therefore recommend that you accumulate as many Medical Test Results as possible to earn huge amounts of Enterprise Coins.
Missing Creatures
In addition to analyzing Biological Samples, you can earn Medical Test Results by capturing Dr. Phlox’s missing creatures. You have to capture these creatures:
- Loose Tribble
- Regulan Bloodworms
- Osmotic Eel
- Lyssarian Desert Larvae
- Immunocytic Gel Worm
- Pyrithian Bat
Once you have acquired a creature, open the Event Store and return the creature to Dr. Phlox to get Medical Test Results.
